about us
Banayich Bonayich was formed by Rabbi Uriel Suliman and his wife Marcelle in 2015. After living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for over 3 years and realizing that there are a lot of activities that can, and should be done in order to retain Jewish life in the area. The purposes for which the organization is formed are exclusively charitable and religious purposes to support and to provide Jewish religious and cultural programming and charitable initiatives including promoting and supporting programs that support Jewish education and Jewish study. The organization is disseminates information via blogs, emails, a web site, newsletters and published materials.
The goal of Banayich Bonayich by fundraising is to support Jewish outreach. It puts together Torah lectures and classes, provides prayer books and religious articles to those in need, distributes kosher food to the poor, and sponsors Jewish holiday celebrations.
tora study
Our intention is to increase Tora learning in NYC in general and on the Upper East Side in particular. The organization works to put together to Tora classes and lectures for the public as well as private lessons. We also teach newlyweds the Halakhot of a Jewish home on a one to one basis.
We answer Halakha questions regularly and help people with problems they are having. We try to guide them on the Tora path according to their customs and find solutions to their problems.
If you would like to have a Rabbi come to your home or to your synagogue to give a class in honor of or in memory of someone, please contact us.
shabbat & holiday meals
We do our best to make sure more and more people are experiencing Shabbat & Holidays by having a nice meal in a Jewish traditional way.
Almost every Friday night and the nights of the Holidays we have our home open for community members, tourists, people that have family in hospitals, etc. to experience and enjoy a Shabbat meal together. We also encourage families in the area to host in their homes as well. We provide hot food, share Torah thoughts and sing Shabbat songs in a warm and welcoming environment.
